Summary
HouseMind is designed to keep your conversations and media local to your device. AI responses run primarily on-device using local Gemma models. HouseMind does not sell personal information, does not use advertising SDKs, does not use analytics SDKs, and does not provide a user account system or cloud synchronization in the current app.
Information We Collect
HouseMind may process the following information on your device when you choose to use related features:
- Conversation text that you type into the app.
- AI responses generated by the app.
- Voice input when you choose to start microphone input.
- Images when you choose to capture an image with the camera or select an image from your photos.
- App settings, model settings, chat session data, and local diagnostics used to support generation lifecycle tracking and troubleshooting.
- Download-related information needed to retrieve AI models or other user-initiated resources where applicable.
This information is used to provide the app's local AI chat, voice, image attachment, settings, and diagnostics features.
Information We Do Not Collect
HouseMind does not currently collect or store the following on HouseMind servers:
- User accounts or account credentials.
- Cloud-synchronized conversation history.
- Server-side copies of your conversations.
- Server-side copies of images you attach or capture.
- Advertising identifiers for ad targeting.
- Analytics events through third-party analytics SDKs.
- Payment, subscription, or billing information.
HouseMind does not sell personal information and does not share user conversations with third parties.
App Permissions
HouseMind requests permissions only to support features you choose to use:
- Microphone: used only when you start voice input.
- Camera: used only when you choose to capture an image.
- Photos or media access: used only when you choose to select an image from your device.
- Internet access: may be used to download AI models or other user-initiated resources where applicable.
Permission availability and wording may vary by Android version and device. You can manage app permissions in your device settings.
Data Storage
HouseMind stores conversations, chat session state, app settings, model metadata, and diagnostics locally on your device. AI model files downloaded for on-device inference are also stored locally.
HouseMind does not currently provide cloud synchronization or server-side conversation storage. If you uninstall the app or clear its app data through your device settings, locally stored app data may be deleted according to your operating system's behavior.
Data Security
HouseMind is designed to reduce data exposure by keeping core AI interactions on your device. Local data remains subject to the security of your device, operating system, backups, and any device-level protections you enable, such as screen lock, device encryption, or backup settings.
No app can guarantee absolute security. You should avoid entering sensitive information into HouseMind if you do not want it stored on your device as part of your local chat history or diagnostics.
Children's Privacy
HouseMind is intended to be family-friendly, but it is not directed specifically to children under 13. HouseMind does not knowingly collect personal information from children on HouseMind servers because the current app does not use user accounts, cloud synchronization, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or server-side conversation storage.
Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of AI tools and device permissions.
Your Choices and Rights
You can control your HouseMind data and permissions through your device and app settings:
- You can choose whether to grant microphone, camera, and photo permissions.
- You can avoid using voice or image features if you do not want that information processed by the app.
- You can delete local app data by using the app's available controls, if provided, or your device's app storage settings.
- You can uninstall the app to remove the app from your device. Your operating system determines what local data is removed during uninstall.
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights related to access, deletion, correction, or portability of personal information. Because HouseMind currently stores core app data locally on your device and does not maintain user accounts or server-side conversation storage, many requests can be handled directly through your device settings.
Future Features
Future versions of HouseMind may introduce optional cloud features. If HouseMind's data practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those features become available, and any optional cloud behavior will be described clearly.
